Piero Mortara was born in Turin (ITALY) in 1955. He began the music studies with his father using a little accordion at the age of 3, then, in the following years, he completed the study of classical piano.
His professional experiences started with the initial activities in popular groups in the '70 followed by a strong involvement in Jazz and Fusion bands
in the following years marked with the participation in several concerts and events.
Music repertories are mostly made up by his original compositions, some of them will then be published in the '91 CD "Eighty to Ninety" , recorded with the Caravelle band.
In 2005 he works on the CD World Town, an innovative and variegated music project in the form of a suite, entirely composed, performed and produced by himself with electronics keyboards,samplers and accordion.
In 2006 he restart the collaboration with Gigi Venegoni for the making of Planetarium, the new Venegoni & Co. CD, with the participation of some of the best musicians from the Turin and Milan areas.
